Julius GOEDDE (APE 2020/PhD 2025) receives a Special Mention at the 2026 AFSE Best Dissertation Prize!

Congratulations to Julius GOEDDE (APE 2020/PhD 2025) who received a Special Mention at the 2026 AFSE (Association Française de Science Economique) Dissertation Prize for his thesis "Market Design in the Platform Economy". 

Julius's work sits at the intersection of market design and the digital economy, combining econometrics, AI, machine-learning techniques for causal inference with economic theory and structural econometrics to study how platforms can be designed to build trust in markets. 

The award ceremony took place during the AFSE's annual congress on June 18. Each year, the AFSE recognizes an outstanding doctoral dissertation in economics defended in France. Edouard PIGNEDE was awarded the main prize, and Karine MOUKADDEM also recognized with a Special Mention.
