Antonin BERGEAUD (APE 2014/PhD 2018) has been awarded the Best Young Economist Prize 2025 by Le Monde and the Cercle des économistes for his innovative research, particularly on the effects of artificial intelligence on work.
Created in 2000 by Le Monde and the Cercle des économistes, this award annually honors a young researcher whose work stands out for its academic excellence and its contribution to public debate. distinguishes profiles capable of contributing to the design or evaluation of public policies, informing business strategy, or helping the general public better grasp key economic issues.
Antonin Bergeaud’s research focuses notably on the impact of artificial intelligence on work — a topic at the heart of current economic and social transformations. This award recognizes the innovative nature of his work, as well as its relevance in understanding the challenges facing today’s labor market.
Adrien BILAL (APE 2014) and Mathieu PARENTI (ETE 2006/PhD 2012) were also in the Prize's short list.
