The Institute for Macroeconomic and International Policies (i-MIP) was created as part of a scientific partnership between the Paris School of Economics and the Centre pour la recherche économique et ses applications (CEPREMAP). The i-MIP aims to promote the analysis and quantitative evaluation of macroeconomic and international policies, drawing on the latest methodologies in economic research.

It focuses on analyzing major macroeconomic issues while integrating environmental concerns and the examination of the effects of economics policies on global trade dynamics.

The i-MIP researchers work on a wide range of current economic policy issues:

  • Impact of macroeconomic policies
  • Economic impacts of environmental policies
  • Transmission of shocks
  • Impact of the fragmentation of the global economy
  • Labor market adjustments
  • Granular data and their contribution

The i-MIP’s scientific ambition – to shed light on choices and objectify the necessary trade-offs between legitimate objectives – goes hand in hand with total independence and a rigorous, non-partisan analysis of macroeconomic and international issues, with a central focus on environmental issues.
