  CAREER UPDATES


Augustin VICARD (APE 2006/PhD 2016) was appointed Secretary General of the French Council of Economic Analysis.

Tamaki DESCOMBES (APE 2015) is Financial advisor for the ASEAN region at the French Embassy in Singapore.

Nitin Kumar BHARTI (APE 2018/PhD 2022) is Assistant professor at the University of Western Australia.

Guillaume THEBAUDIN (APE 2018) is Associate at Econic Partners.

Blaise LECLAIR (APE 2020) is Project manager for industrial sectors, ecological transition and skill at the Directorate General for Entreprise in the French Ministry of Economy and Finance. 

Julius GOEDDE (APE 2020, PhD 2025) is Scientific officer in the Inspections team at the European Center for Algorithmic Transparency in the European Commission.

Finn JANSSENS (APE 2025) is Associate economic affairs officer at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia.

Matthieu PLONQUET (EP 2014) is Senior product manager at Hubvisory.

Avery MICKENS (EP 2022) is Housing research coordinator at the First Place Global Leadership Institute

Julie BAILLAIS (EP 2023) is CSR and Sustainability VIE at Carrefour Belgium.

Carolina COCCHI (EP 2023) is Brand manager in charge of Harpic at Reckitt.

Thomas FAGART (ETE 2011/PhD 2016) is Associate Professor at ESCP Business School.

Martin MENIER (PPD 2022) is Policy evaluation officer in charge of cultural participation for the French Ministry of Culture

Carolina LENNON (PhD 2011) is Data scientist at Wiener Linien.

Alexandre DE CORNIERE (PhD 2013) is Director of the Competition Policy and Regulation Center at Toulouse School of Economics.



RESEARCH HIGHLIGHTS & CONFERENCES


Arthur POIRIER (ETE 2011), Julien ALBERTINI and Anthony TERRIAU published "The Impact of EITC on Education, Labour Market Trajectories, and Inequalities" in The Review of Economic Studies

Dorothée ROUZET (APE 2005), Chief economist at the French Treasury, took part in the Investment Perspectives Panel of the European Investor Summit and of the Rendez-vous de l'Histoire de Blois

Francesco MOLTENI (ETE 2010/PhD 2014), Postdoctoral fellow at the Rimini Center for Economic Analysis, presented his article "International Banking Flows and Financial Crises" in the CEPR's International Macroeconomic History Online Seminar Series. Check it out : here.

Julien MARTIN (PhD 2012), Professor of Economics at UQAM, took part in the roundtable "S'allier et résister dans un monde en reconfiguration: le Canada à l'heure des choix" on October 17. 



RECOGNITION & AWARDS


Maëlle STRICOT (PPD 2021) received the Best Paper Award from the Association Française d'Economie du Droit for her job market paper "Breaking News: How Media Coverage Shapes Judicial Responses to Violence Against Women" in which she shows the impact of the increased visibility of violence against women in media on the justice trials and convictions. Congratulations!
